Johnny Huang

Co-founder and Executive Director of Asia at the Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI), Professor Johnny Huang has over 25 years of experience in climate technology, resilient cities, sustainable investing, and information technology.
He has served as an advisor to the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Climate Finance Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and the China Securities Index (CSI). His “ESG+” concept and the “Resilience Impact Rating (RIR)” framework are widely recognized across the industry.
Professor Huang also serves as CEO of Avisk Analytics, an AI-driven ESG insights platform incubated at Yale University. He currently teaches courses on Sustainable Finance, Climate Tech Ventures, and Building Resilient Cities at Yale University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Tongji University, having trained over 4,500 professionals worldwide in sustainable finance and climate technology.
