Malwina Burzec is a Manager at EY’s Center for Climate Policy, where she focuses on advancing climate finance through the Voluntary Carbon Markets and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. With over a decade of expertise in analyzing carbon pricing mechanisms, market regulation, and policy frameworks, Malwina has provided strategic advice to governments, financial institutions, and private sector organizations on critical issues within the carbon markets landscape.

Her work has been pivotal in supporting the development of the market under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. A strong advocate for the inclusion of the private sector in the unilateral approach of Article 6.2, Malwina has collaborated with UNDP and participated in numerous panels and presentations at previous COPs alongside key market stakeholders. In practice, she has assisted a European development bank in structuring a purchasing program for Article 6 credits, ensuring compliance with international best practices. Additionally, Malwina has provided guidance to the Australian Climate Change Authority on the quality aspects of international carbon markets and has supported the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a designated UN agency, in exploring potential climate finance opportunities in various African countries.
