Marcus Hartmann is a senior leader in sustainability, corporate affairs, and policy strategy, with over 15 years of experience bridging government, business, and international organizations. As Head of Public Affairs & Sustainability for H&M Northern Europe, he drives the company’s regional strategy across seven markets, aligning stakeholder engagement and regulatory affairs with H&M Group’s global ambition to reach net-zero emissions by 2040.
Throughout his career, Marcus has held senior roles across both private and public sectors. Before joining H&M in 2022, he was Corporate and Government Affairs Lead for the Nordics at Mondelēz International, focusing on ESG policy, food systems, and responsible supply chains. He also served as Marketing Director and Head of Media Relations at Teracom Group. Earlier, Marcus worked in Swedish politics, including as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Culture, Media and Sports, as well as Acting Campaign Director and Political Advisor within the Moderate Party. Marcus holds a Master of Laws in International Law from Stockholm University and has also studied political science at Linköping University.
